We have a number of professional business advisers who work on our behalf to provide expert help to get your business off to a head start. All information you share with our business advisers is kept confidential.

• Information and advice over the telephone or by email, with free fact sheets.
• Setting Up In Business Seminars – helping you assess your suitability to run your own business and addressing objective setting, legal structures, accounting issues, business planning and financial planning. We also introduce you to sources of help including banks, accountants and your local Council.
• Up to 2 one to one sessions with a business adviser (face to face or by phone) – providing you with guidance on setting up your business and addressing issues such as the production of a viable business plan, cash flow forecasts and sales and marketing plans. Sessions usually last around an hour.
• Access to a range of business support services – to keep you up to date and informed
• One year’s free membership of Merton Chamber of Commerce offered to you on proof of trading.

In addition, if you need further help we offer this at the affordable price of £60 per hour. We recommend this option to make sure you have covered all the essential elements to get your business off to a successful start.
